Remember this little gem from our Winter line?  While to many of you this may seem like just another hoodie to us it's a lot more.

This hoodie is super special to us because it's one of our first forays into the world of cut and sew pieces.  For those of you who don't work for a clothing company the cut and sew process basically entails building an article of clothing from the ground up to your exact specifications.  It's a big deal for a lot of reasons:

1.  Since everything about the garment is custom it costs a lot more to produce.  You can't just grab some pre-made hoodie and slap a design on it.  Everything is made to order which also means if no one likes the design you're out of luck.

2.  While there are a lot of risks there are way more benefits too.  The custom design means we get to control EVERY aspect of the design.  This includes the fit of the item, the fabric it's made of even down to what style of zipper is used.

3.  By far the coolest part of a cut and sew piece is the little embellishments you get to add.  On these hoodies we added some studs along the rib (The elastic that keeps the hoodie snug against your hips) a metal plate with our logo on the  sleeve and a sewn on patch for the guy's version.
