GLMRKLLS MAKES DESKS

Last week we were feeling a little crafty so we decided to get manly and Tim Allen a desk for Mark's new apartment.  The saga continues below:




When we started the search for materials we started local.  We visited a ton of local hardware stores in search for the perfect surface for the desk.  We eventually settled on some Home Depot wood planks and galvanized plumbing.

First we assembled the pipes and fitted them to the desk, then we screwed everything in to make sure everything fit perfectly.  




After that we stained the wood a few times to give it that luxurious dark look that you see above.  




Next all we had to do was screw the pipes back into the desk surface and apply a layer of lacquer to the top to shine it up and we were left with the finished product below!






P.S. I definitely need to mention that my main man Kyle had a LOT to do with the planning running around for materials and overall construction of the desk.  As much as I would love to take all the credit I have to admit that I was the Tim Allen and he was the Al Borland for this one.
